Heat Treatment
Heat treatment of steel and other suitable metals involves the heating of the items to specific temperatures where desired metallurgical changes to the microstructure takes place. These temperatures can range from as low as 250ᵒC to temper hardened steel to as high as 1150ᵒC on certain Tool Steels. The main purpose of Heat Treatment is to obtain the desired Hardness, Tensile Strength, Ductility, Internal Stress Levels and Microstructure in the steel.
Vibrate Stress Relief
Vibrate Stress Relief is a non-thermal stress relief method that employs tightly controlled, high force, mechanical vibration energy to redistribute internal stresses in castings, forgings, and welded structures, parts, and components. Vibratory stress relieving significantly reduces dimensional instability during machining, improves fatigue life, and minimizes distortion during assembly, test loading, transport, and field usage of a wide array of metal components.
Weld Distortion Control
Weld Distortion Control – Vibrating a work item at the optimal vibration level during welding, helps reduce distortion and saves time. Stresses induced by welding, is immediately reduced by vibrating at optimal vibration level during welding.
